Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), as a Conservation University<\/em>, has taken bold steps to reduce plastic waste on campus by implementing a comprehensive action plan anchored in regulatory, behavioral, and educational strategies<\/strong>. This initiative reflects UNNES\u2019s strong commitment to environmental conservation and aligns with its identity as a leader in sustainability-focused higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the core of this action plan is Rector\u2019s Regulation No. 21 of 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/mark>, which prohibits the use of single-use plastics across campus. The regulation bans plastic drinking bottles, plastic bags, food wrappers, and disposable eating utensils<\/strong>, ensuring that campus operations and student activities are free from harmful plastic waste.

To support this policy, UNNES encourages the academic community to adopt reusable tumbler bottles<\/strong> and has expanded the availability of ready-to-drink tap water stations<\/strong> across campus.
