This initiative ensures that water use, treatment, and discharge across campus meet national standards while advancing UNNES\u2019s role in sustainable resource management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nationally, water governance is regulated under<strong><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><a href=\"http:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/UU_Nomor_17_Tahun_2019.pdf\">\u00a0Law No. 17 of 2019 on Water Resources\u00a0<\/a><\/mark><\/strong>and the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/170314114854P.68-BAKU-MUTU-LIMBAH-DOMESTIK.pdf\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P.68\/MENLHK\/Setjen\/Kum.1\/8\/2016<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>, which set thresholds for wastewater quality to safeguard ecosystems and public health. By embedding these policies into campus operations, UNNES ensures that water discharged from academic, residential, and industrial activities does not harm surrounding ecosystems, aquatic wildlife, or human health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This integrated approach demonstrates UNNES\u2019s leadership in combining&nbsp;<strong>policy compliance, conservation innovation, and institutional governance<\/strong>.
