In collaboration with<mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kiw.co.id\/id\/posts\/kiw-dan-unnes-tanam-1000-bibit-mangrove-melalui-iling-project-2025-kolaborasi-nyata-selamatkan-pesisir\"><strong>\u00a0PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (KIW), a state-owned enterprise specializing in industrial estate development and management since 1988, UNNES launched the\u00a0Iling Project<\/strong><\/a><\/mark><strong> <\/strong>, a joint initiative focused on coastal ecosystem restoration (<a href=\"https:\/\/kiw.co.id\/id\/posts\/kiw-dan-unnes-tanam-1000-bibit-mangrove-melalui-iling-project-2025-kolaborasi-nyata-selamatkan-pesisir\">KIW\u2013UNNES Mangrove Planting Collaboration<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project involved the\u00a0<strong>planting of 1,000 mangrove seedlings along the Semarang coastline<\/strong>, a strategic effort to mitigate the impacts of\u00a0<strong>coastal abrasion<\/strong>, restore\u00a0<strong>marine biodiversity<\/strong>, and promote\u00a0<strong>sustainable shoreline management<\/strong>. Mangroves serve as natural barriers against erosion, while also enhancing habitat quality for aquatic and coastal species, making them vital to ecosystem resilience.z<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This collaboration exemplifies how&nbsp;<strong>universities and industry can co-develop nature-based solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;to environmental challenges.
