On <strong>3 November 2024<\/strong>, representatives from UNNES conducted a formal visit to the <strong>Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of Central Java Province<\/strong> to discuss collaborative strategies in achieving regional and national energy transition goals.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-21-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-21-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-21-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-21-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-21.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The meeting aimed to align academic research, community engagement, and innovation at UNNES with the <strong>Central Java Provincial Government\u2019s clean energy roadmap<\/strong>. During the discussion, UNNES presented its ongoing research on renewable energy integration, campus energy audits, and smart building technologies that support energy efficiency. The university also offered technical expertise in formulating evidence-based recommendations for provincial energy policies, particularly those targeting <strong>carbon emission reduction and renewable energy utilization<\/strong> in government and industrial sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit, attended by UNNES academic leaders and BAPPEDA officials, marked an important step in strengthening policy synergy between academia and government. UNNES emphasized that higher education institutions have a strategic role in bridging scientific knowledge with policy implementation, particularly in supporting Indonesia\u2019s <strong>Carbon Neutral 2045 commitment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-20-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-20-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-20-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-20-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/image-20.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation from UNNES, led by faculty experts in energy systems and environmental management, also proposed a joint initiative for conducting <strong>regional energy efficiency assessments<\/strong> and <strong>capacity-building workshops<\/strong> for local government units.
