This initiative is formalized through <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/11\/15-bangunan-gedung-hijau-green-building-di-unnes-67fcac17d452f-1.pdf\"><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Circular Letter No. B\/28595\/UN37\/PA.00.00\/2024<\/mark><\/a><\/em> on Green Buildings<\/strong>, which serves as a guideline for all physical development activities within the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The certification process for building projects at UNNES refers to the <strong>Green Building Certification Inc. (GBCI)<\/strong>, forming part of the university\u2019s broader <strong>Green Campus<\/strong> and <strong>Conservation University<\/strong> framework. By adopting these standards, UNNES ensures that every new building serves not only academic and administrative functions but also contributes significantly to <strong>environmental sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the construction process, UNNES adheres to key principles such as <strong>energy efficiency<\/strong>, <strong>water conservation<\/strong>, <strong>eco-friendly waste management<\/strong>, and the <strong>enhancement of green open spaces<\/strong>. Additionally, UNNES incorporates <strong>environmentally friendly materials<\/strong> and implements <strong>sustainable drainage systems<\/strong> to minimize ecological impacts on surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <strong>Head of the Bureau of General Affairs and Finance at UNNES<\/strong>, this policy aligns with the university\u2019s vision as an <strong>Internationally Oriented Conservation Campus<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Circular on Green Buildings serves as a crucial guideline for UNNES to ensure that every construction process is not only efficient but also sustainable and environmentally responsible,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the implementation of <strong>Green Building Certification standards<\/strong>, UNNES reaffirms its position as a <strong>pioneer of sustainable campuses in Indonesia<\/strong>.
