This large-scale activity takes place in villages surrounding the university and serves as a vital contribution to the city of Semarang\u2019s water conservation efforts.<br>The surrounding areas of the UNNES campus function as natural water catchment zones that play a critical role in maintaining the city\u2019s groundwater reserves. By planting trees in these buffer regions, UNNES strengthens the landscape\u2019s ability to absorb rainwater, reduce runoff, and prevent soil erosion\u2014ultimately enhancing the sustainability of urban water systems.<br>Beyond its ecological benefits, the program fosters environmental awareness and responsibility among students, encouraging them to become active participants in real conservation practices.
