Over the past few weeks, the Student Creativity Program team from the Undergraduate Mathematics Education Study Program, consisting of Mey Tri Anggraheni, Nisrina Paramita Hanifah, Farhan Ashidiqi, Hasna\u2019 Azzah Yumna, and Muhammad Rafi\u2019ul Annam, under the guidance of Adi Satrio Ardiansyah, M.Pd., has developed an interactive learning medium themed around historic buildings in Semarang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This medium, called ROBO-VR, is a Roblox- and Virtual Reality-based learning innovation that combines technological advancements with local cultural values. The program reflects UNNES\u2019s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROBO-VR was implemented at SMP Negeri 23 Semarang as an effort to optimize students\u2019 numeracy literacy skills through immersive and contextual learning experiences. Using this medium, students are invited to explore iconic heritage buildings such as Lawang Sewu and Semarang\u2019s Old Town, while learning mathematical concepts such as the surface area of geometric shapes in a more enjoyable and meaningful way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this activity, the team hopes that ROBO-VR can serve as an innovative alternative in mathematics learning that not only enhances conceptual understanding but also fosters students\u2019 pride in local cultural heritage. Furthermore, this research is expected to inspire the development of technology- and culture-based learning media in the future, strengthening collaboration between education, innovation, and cultural preservation\u2014key elements in achieving the SDGs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
