The field is often considered more masculine compared to other areas of study.

To address this, the UNNES Promotion Team provides literacy and outreach to female students in several schools to spark their interest in the field.

During the promotion, the UNNES Promotion Team explained that the Mechanical Engineering program is not inherently masculine. With the advancement of technology, the profession of a mechanical engineer no longer relies heavily on physical strength.

On the contrary, modern mechanical engineers depend more on engineering skills that emphasize cognitive ability. This can be seen from the growing number of female mechanical engineers who are actively involved in design, production, and maintenance.

Students from various schools in Jepara took part in the education expo held by UNNES.

To promote Mechanical Engineering to female students, the UNNES Promotion Team presented the program’s curriculum and highlighted its diverse learning opportunities.

The promotion of the Mechanical Engineering program to high school students aims to increase women’s participation in engineering fields.
