Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to advance its commitment to sustainability through the implementation of a comprehensive, ICT-based water management system. As outlined in the document \u201cUNNES Indonesia 4.6 Water Management through the Utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)\u201d<\/em>, the university conducts systematic measurement and monitoring of various water sources using advanced digital tools and data-driven technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNNES has developed an integrated water conservation strategy encompassing planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The university employs smart water meters and real-time monitoring software to track water usage across its campus, while water usage analytics help identify consumption trends and potential efficiency improvements. In addition, a water-saving mobile application is used to promote awareness and behavioral change among students and staff regarding responsible water use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 80% of the water used on campus is treated using ozonation for drinking purposes and filtration systems for sanitation. Each faculty, mosque, and dormitory is equipped with clean water storage tanks and distribution systems to ensure safe water access for drinking, ablution, and hygiene. Drinkable tap water stations have also been installed to encourage the use of reusable bottles and reduce plastic waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These integrated efforts reflect UNNES\u2019s strong dedication to efficient and environmentally responsible water management, aligning with its vision as a conservation-oriented and technology-driven university.
