These programs are part of UNNES\u2019s ongoing efforts to promote food security, prevent hunger, and support well-being within the university community. UNNES mandates all campus canteens to follow the <strong>Healthy Canteen Policy<\/strong>, ensuring menus that are balanced, hygienically prepared, and affordable. Common healthy menu items include <em>nasi pecel<\/em> (rice with steamed vegetables and peanut sauce), <em>gado-gado<\/em> (vegetable salad with peanut dressing), <em>sayur bayam<\/em> (spinach soup), <em>tumis kangkung<\/em> (stir-fried water spinach), <em>capcay<\/em> (mixed vegetables), and <em>tofu-tempe dishes<\/em> as plant-based proteins. Prices range from <strong>IDR 9,000\u201315,000 (USD 0.55\u20130.90)<\/strong> per portion, making nutritious meals accessible for all. After the activity, the university provides <strong>free healthy breakfasts<\/strong> such as <strong>mung bean porridge (bubur kacang hijau)<\/strong>, <strong>chicken porridge (bubur ayam)<\/strong>, <strong>gado-gado<\/strong>, or <strong>fresh fruit and vegetable juice<\/strong>. This initiative aims to improve staff nutrition and energy levels while encouraging healthy lifestyle habits across the university. UNNES also runs several community-based food initiatives, including the <strong>\u201cJumat Berkah\u201d (Blessed Friday)<\/strong> program, distributing around <strong>2,000 meal portions weekly<\/strong>, with approximately <strong>300 meals reserved for staff<\/strong>.
