Semarang, October 2025 \u2013 The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15: Life on Land, through educational and collaborative initiatives. One of these efforts is the upcoming Public Lecture titled \u201cGetting to Know More About the Role, Function, and Management of General Conservation Institutions in Indonesia\u201d, which will be delivered by representatives from Jagat Satwa TMII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This public lecture is designed to broaden students\u2019 understanding of the crucial role conservation institutions play in protecting Indonesia\u2019s rich biodiversity and ecosystems. Participants will gain valuable insights into the management and operational strategies of conservation organizations, as well as their contribution to sustainable environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Vice Dean I of FMIPA, Mr. Zaenal Abidin, Ph.D., this activity aligns with FMIPA\u2019s vision to integrate sustainability and conservation awareness into higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThrough this public lecture, we hope students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop a sense of responsibility and awareness toward biodiversity conservation as part of global sustainability efforts,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative is also a part of FMIPA\u2019s continuous efforts to enhance the quality of education and research in biology and environmental sciences. By collaborating with Jagat Satwa TMII, FMIPA seeks to build a bridge between academic learning and real-world conservation practices, ensuring that future scientists are well-equipped to contribute to Indonesia\u2019s environmental sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
