Solo, February 3\u20135, 2025 \u2014 At the beginning of 2025, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held its 2025 Work Meeting at The Sunan Hotel Solo. The three-day event was attended by the entire faculty leadership, lecturers, and administrative staff of FMIPA UNNES, and became a strategic forum to evaluate past achievements while setting new directions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was officially opened by the Rector of UNNES, Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., who expressed his appreciation for FMIPA\u2019s outstanding performance throughout 2024. He emphasized that FMIPA had made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology and to supporting UNNES\u2019s vision as a conservation-minded and globally recognized university. Prof. Martono also underscored the importance of strengthening inter-institutional collaboration and promoting innovation to achieve higher academic and research targets in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address, the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si., highlighted the need for synergy among all members of the FMIPA academic community. \u201cCollaboration is the foundation of our success. Only through teamwork can we realize our shared vision,\u201d he remarked. Prof. Edy also elaborated on FMIPA\u2019s strategic focus for 2025, which includes improving the quality of education, enhancing international research collaboration, and expanding community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the meeting, the Vice Deans and task force teams presented the 2025 strategic roadmap, which emphasized three main pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enhancing the quality of education and learning, in support of SDG 4 (Quality Education);<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fostering scientific innovation and research, aligned with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure); and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strengthening local and international partnerships, reflecting the spirit of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second day featured an outdoor team-building program at Lawu Park, designed to strengthen cooperation and communication among participants. The activity successfully fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among FMIPA\u2019s academic and administrative members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the final day, participants carried out a joint evaluation of the entire meeting, formulating conclusions and practical recommendations for implementing FMIPA\u2019s 2025 work programs. The event concluded with a closing statement from the Dean, who expressed gratitude to all participants and optimism for the realization of FMIPA\u2019s shared goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2025 FMIPA UNNES Work Meeting served as an important momentum for consolidating synergy, innovation, and sustainable collaboration.
