The initiative is part of the university\u2019s commitment to supporting the government\u2019s efforts in tackling hunger through the <em>Zero Hunger<\/em> program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objectives of the Program<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blessed Friday program is designed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Raise awareness among the academic community about the importance of food security and nutrition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage participation of all elements within the university to contribute to food distribution as part of the Zero Hunger program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote regular activities every Friday that focus on providing healthy and nutritious meals for both students and staff<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Active Role of the Academic Community<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vice Rector for Planning, General Affairs, Human Resources, and Finance, Prof. Heri Yanto, M.B.A., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of the active role of lecturers, staff, and students in realizing this initiative. <em>\u201cThrough the Blessed Friday program, we want to cultivate a spirit of care, solidarity, and shared responsibility in addressing hunger while ensuring access to nutritious food within the UNNES community,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commitment to SDGs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blessed Friday initiative also strengthens UNNES\u2019s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2: <em>Zero Hunger<\/em>.
