The event aimed to preserve the values of heroism and the fighting spirit of Prince Diponegoro, as well as to instill them in the soldiers of Kodam IV\/Diponegoro and university students. The <em>sarasehan<\/em> also served as a platform to deepen the understanding of Prince Diponegoro\u2019s struggle and its relevance to the present-day context in safeguarding the unity of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twenty-five students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FISIP UNNES), under the guidance of FISIP lecturer Rudi Salam, attended the <em>sarasehan<\/em> on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Headquarters of the Regional Military Command IV\/Diponegoro in Semarang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his remarks, Brigadier General TNI Muhammad Andhy Kusuma, Chief of Staff of the Regional Military Command IV\/Diponegoro, stated that this <em>sarasehan<\/em> was a means to recall the history of Prince Diponegoro\u2019s struggle, as well as to understand the background, course of the war, and strategies employed by Prince Diponegoro in resisting colonial powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ani Fitri Mustofa, a FISIP student, expressed the importance of this event, as it allows the internalization of heroic values and reflection on the spirit of perseverance, patriotism, and self-sacrifice for the nation exemplified by Prince Diponegoro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event concluded with the reading of key takeaways from the <em>sarasehan<\/em>, one of which emphasized connecting Prince Diponegoro\u2019s struggle with the present context and applying these values in safeguarding the unity of the Republic of Indonesia and facing today\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kodam IV\/Diponegoro held a sarasehan (dialogue session) to commemorate the struggle of Prince Diponegoro.
