The initiative, themed <em>MANTA: Mangrove Action for Nature and Tropical Aquatic Life<\/em>, was held at Tambakrejo Beach, Semarang City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This annual initiative reflects HMPTK UNNES&#8217;s active role in promoting ecological sustainability, particularly in conserving coastal ecosystems and tropical marine habitats. Through the planting of mangrove seedlings, this program aims to rehabilitate degraded coastal areas and restore their ecological function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mangrove Replant #12 successfully involved 50 students from various universities across Indonesia, including participants from both within and beyond UNNES. In total, 1,600 mangrove seedlings were planted, symbolizing a collective hope for a greener and more resilient environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity also forms part of HMPTK UNNES&#8217;s ongoing work program in environmental conservation. It is expected that this initiative will inspire broader participation in nature conservation efforts, especially among the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond reforestation, the program serves as an educational platform to raise awareness of the critical role mangroves play in protecting coastal areas from natural disasters such as abrasion and tidal flooding.
