{"id":1831,"date":"2025-05-09T13:14:34","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T06:14:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/?p=1831"},"modified":"2025-05-21T07:15:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T00:15:12","slug":"commemorating-world-dance-day-2025-unnes-presents-folk-dance-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/commemorating-world-dance-day-2025-unnes-presents-folk-dance-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"Commemorating World Dance Day 2025, UNNES Presents Folk Dance Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In celebration of World Dance Day 2025, the Dance Education Study Program of the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), organized an event titled \u201cFolk Dance Performance as a Trace of Civilization.\u201d The event was held at the FBS UNNES Cultural Village, Sekaran Campus, Gunungpati, Semarang City, on Tuesday (April 29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attended by members of the academic community and the general public, the event showcased a series of captivating traditional dance performances from various regions. Featured dances included Gondorio Dance, Lengger Serayu Banyumas Dance, Topeng Ireng Magelang Dance, Topeng Lengger Wonosobo Dance, Idakeb Temanggungan Dance, as well as various performances by students and lecturers from the Dance Education Study Program. All performances aimed to enliven the celebration of World Dance Day 2025 and to honor Indonesia\u2019s rich cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his remarks, UNNES Rector Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., called on all members of society to preserve cultural traditions as part of building a civilization that is both cultured and globally oriented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPreserving, developing, and promoting dance art is a concrete manifestation of UNNES\u2019s commitment as a conservation-minded university,\u201d stated Prof. Martono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Prof. Dr. Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum., also expressed his appreciation for the event. He emphasized the strategic role of the faculty in safeguarding the nation\u2019s cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Faculty of Languages and Arts plays a vital role in preserving, developing, and advancing dance art in line with Universitas Negeri Semarang\u2019s vision to become a world-class university and a pioneer of excellence in conservation-based education,\u201d said Prof. Tommi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dance Education Study Program at UNNES routinely organizes dance performances annually to commemorate World Dance Day.
