Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a Public Selection Examination for the Committee of the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force on campus on Monday, July 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the Rectorate building, the selection included ten candidates, from which seven individuals\u2014faculty members, staff, and students\u2014will be chosen to serve on the committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The candidates in this public examination are selected individuals of high integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This public selection reflects UNNES’s commitment to implementing Ministerial Regulation No. 30 of 2021 on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education Institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the public examination, the candidates will be chosen and appointed to the permanent selection committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This committee will screen members for the Sexual Violence Task Force for the 2022\u20132024 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate location, UNNES Rector Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum., emphasized the university’s strong commitment to policies for preventing and handling sexual violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, Rector’s Regulation No. 7 of 2021 on this policy was issued on December 9, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This Rector’s Regulation forms the foundation for establishing the Sexual Violence Task Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Fathur reiterated UNNES’s commitment to addressing issues of sexual violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are dedicated to building a dignified and ethical educational campus free from acts of sexual violence,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
