Being an academic as well as a sports practitioner is not an easy task—but Yuwono, S.Si., M.Pd., a lecturer of Sports Science (IKOR) at the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FIK UNNES), has proven that both roles can be carried out in balance. His dedication was demonstrated through his service as a Futsal Referee Assessor in the Qualification Round of the 17th Central Java Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) 2026, held from 23 to 26 October 2025 at GOR Bung Karno, Grobogan, Central Java.
In his role as an assessor, Yuwono contributed by evaluating the performance of referees who officiated the futsal matches. This evaluation covered various components, including technical execution, discipline, and the application of fair play principles on the field. Through this activity, Yuwono not only fulfilled his academic responsibilities but also made a meaningful contribution to the development of futsal in Central Java.
With a spirit of sportsmanship and professionalism, Yuwono continues to show that lecturers are not merely educators in the classroom; they are also agents of change who inspire in every arena of life, including on the futsal court.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 and Goal 17:
SDG 4 – Quality Education
Yuwono’s involvement in professional activities outside the campus reflects the implementation of relevant and high-quality education, where academics not only transfer knowledge in the classroom but also apply it directly in real-world contexts. This supports lifelong learning and enhances the quality of human resources in the field of sports.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
This activity was the result of a collaboration between FIK UNNES and the Central Java Provincial PSSI Association, representing a strategic partnership between educational institutions and sports organizations. Such cooperation strengthens synergy between academia and field practice in supporting sustainable sports development.
