Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) reaffirms its commitment as a university that not only produces competent graduates but also plays an active role in strengthening public and institutional capacity through various professional training and education programs. Collaborating with government agencies, schools, and international partners, UNNES continues to apply its academic expertise to enhance human resource competencies in the fields of law, technology, and education.

In the field of law, the Institute for Learning and Professional Development (LPPP UNNES) has collaborated with the Indonesian National Police Academy (AKPOL) to organize a comprehensive training program for police lecturers and instructors. The initiative involves active police officers, including Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, who also serve as teaching staff at the academy. This program aims to strengthen pedagogical and professional competencies among law enforcement educators so that they can deliver modern and effective teaching aligned with the current legal education reform.

Beyond legal training, UNNES through the LPPP consistently organizes Pekerti and Applied Approach (AA) programs for university lecturers across Indonesia. These programs are designed to strengthen teaching design, classroom management, and professional development based on outcome-based education principles. The training also includes competency certification programs in collaboration with the UNNES Professional Certification Institute (LSP UNNES), which ensures that academic staff meet national standards of teaching excellence and pedagogical innovation.

In the area of educational technology, UNNES lecturers actively engage with teachers and students through various skill-based workshops. One of these programs is the Hypnoteaching Training Program, which introduces interactive learning techniques for junior high school language teachers across Central Java. The method encourages teachers to motivate students through communication strategies based on empathy and creativity.

Meanwhile, lecturers from the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS UNNES) conducted a Fundamental Graphic Design Workshop for children at Gunungan Orphanage in Surakarta. The activity aims to nurture creativity and digital literacy among young learners, providing them with essential 21st-century skills.

UNNES also supports innovation in science education through technology-driven learning programs. A team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) facilitated a Digital Physics Practicum Development Workshop for high school physics teachers in Pati, helping them to integrate digital laboratories and interactive simulations into their teaching.

In addition, UNNES collaborated with STIFIn Indonesia to organize a Genetic Intelligence Training Program for teachers at SMPIT Mutiara Hati Semarang, which focuses on understanding students’ learning characteristics and intelligence types based on genetics.

UNNES’s academic contribution extends to the international stage through its participation in the Short-Term Training Program at Sogang University in South Korea under the Language Union Program for International Cooperation (LUPIC). The program focuses on academic innovation, language education, and digital learning technology, which strengthens UNNES’s global partnerships and cross-border collaboration in research and teaching.

Through all of these initiatives, UNNES continues to strengthen its vision as a “University for a Sustainable Society.” The institution plays a vital role not only in academic excellence but also in empowering educators, law enforcers, and the broader community. By delivering structured capacity-building programs in law, education, and digital innovation, UNNES ensures that professional development remains inclusive, accessible, and future-oriented. This approach illustrates how universities can serve as bridges between knowledge, governance, and community advancement in Indonesia and beyond.
