In his remarks, Prof. Fathur highlighted that DWP is not merely a women’s organization that supports the success of their husbands’ duties, but also a driving force for empowerment and institutional progress. DWP serves as a strategic partner in realizing the university’s vision and mission as a Conservation and Internationally Reputable University.
He emphasized that the active participation of DWP members is essential to strengthening the UNNES community, both academically and socially. The organization contributes to various initiatives in education, economy, and social–cultural development, aligning with the university’s values of inclusivity and equality.
UNNES fully recognises and supports staff unions and associations, including women’s organisations such as DWP, as legitimate bodies that represent and advocate for staff welfare. This recognition extends to all members of the academic community, including women and international staff, ensuring their voices are heard in institutional decision-making.
The Rector congratulated the newly inaugurated DWP UNNES Executive Board for the 2020–2024 period, chaired by Dr. Barokah Isdaryanti Fathur Rokhman, S.Pd., M.Pd., alongside Vice Chairperson Karniti S. Martono, Secretary Dra. Dwi Yulianti, M.Si., and supporting board members representing the Education, Economy, and Social and Cultural Affairs divisions.

The progress and ongoing activities of DWP are regularly featured on the official UNNES Instagram account, highlighting women’s active roles and contributions across different fields within the university community.
