Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of its female students’ potential through a dedicated mentoring program. The mentoring initiative aims to help female students develop and maximize their abilities.

The main objective of this mentoring program is to enable participants to optimize their talents and skills while addressing the social and cultural challenges they encounter in their journey of self-actualization.

Adopting the theme “Happiness in the Embrace of His Mercy,” UNNES hopes to provide an inspiring and constructive space for its participants.

For this edition of the mentoring event, UNNES invited an inspiring female figure, Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus, as the main speaker. Ustazah Halimah is a well-known figure both domestically and internationally. She is a syarifah, a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), widely recognized for her approachable yet meaningful style of preaching.

Her lectures consistently attract more than 6.000 of female students, or more than 10 percent of UNNES students, to gain knowledge and inspiration. Her prowess in writing and her ability to deliver material in easily understood language have made her talks well received by people of all ages and backgrounds.

The enthusiasm of UNNES’s female students was palpable during the mentoring event. More than a thousand students from various faculties attended, filling the venue and demonstrating a strong eagerness to learn directly from Ustazah Halimah. The event took place in a warm, focused, and communal atmosphere.

During the mentoring session, Ustazah Halimah delivered key messages about happiness. She stated, “If you want to be happy, leave behind sins, obey, and have noble character. Fill your heart with love for those you should truly love: Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, his companions, the scholars, your mother, and fellow Muslims.” These messages, imparted gently, touched the hearts of the participants, providing motivation to continually improve themselves and seek happiness under His mercy.
