The Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), has successfully completed five rounds of Khataman Quran as part of its continuous commitment to strengthening spiritual values and fostering religious literacy within the academic community. The series of recitations took place at the Al-Hakam Prayer Room, Faculty of Law UNNES, symbolizing the faculty’s dedication to religious expression and spiritual development.
The first and second Khataman Quran sessions were conducted regularly during the early days of Ramadan 1446 H. The highlight occurred on Friday (3/21), when the third Khataman was held in conjunction with a series of events including Ngibadah, Nuzulul Quran commemoration, and communal iftar, attended by lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni.
The fourth session followed on Friday (5/16), and the fifth Khataman, marking the culmination of this year’s program, was held on Monday (5/19). Each session included collective Quranic recitation (tadarus) and concluded with a solemn khatmil prayer, led by the Al-Hakam Prayer Room coordinator and attended by the extended Faculty of Law community.
The organizing committee stated that the Khataman Quran is not only a routine annual event, but also a manifestation of the faculty’s core values “FH Menggema, Lulusan Digdaya, Hukum Berdaulat” particularly in shaping religious character and moral integrity among students and academic personnel.
Dean of the Faculty of Law UNNES Prof. Dr. Ali Masyhar Mursyid, S.H., M.H. expressed appreciation to all contributors and emphasized the importance of maintaining the continuity of this spiritual initiative.
“Through this program, we affirm that legal education at UNNES is designed not only to produce competent legal professionals, but also individuals who uphold faith and piety,” he remarked.

This initiative contributes to the formation of graduates who are intellectually excellent and spiritually grounded, aligning with the university’s vision as a moral and globally respected institution.
