On July 9, 2025, as part of the 2025 Academic Mobility Program, lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) had the opportunity to share knowledge and collaborate on research with Kasetsart University, Thailand.
The Faculty of Education held an academic seminar entitled “Gen Z: Trends in Financial Literacy and Behavior and Its Implications,” presented by Dr. Sandy Arief, CPA (Aust.), with a team of Nurdian Susilowati, MPd., Ida Nur Aeni, MSc., and Lola Kurnia Pitaloka, MPd. This seminar brought together thinkers and researchers in the field of financial literacy and the evolving behavior of Generation Z.
In addition to the seminar, the event also included joint research initiatives, community engagement, and in-depth discussions on curriculum development and quality education. This collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNNES and the Faculty of Education (FEB) at Kasetsart University marks a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between the two parties and supporting efforts to achieve the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
This initiative has also received praise from various parties, as evidenced by the coverage on the Kasetsart University website and their social media platforms, which have shared the success and pride of this international initiative. This represents a strategic step further in promoting FEB UNNES on the global education scene.
This program is expected to strengthen international collaboration, open more opportunities for joint research, and enrich the global academic experience for FEB UNNES lecturers and students.
