The Faculty of Law at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FH UNNES) has established a strategic partnership with the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) through the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) on Thursday (July 3, 2025), at the Faculty of Law building of UNNES..
This collaboration aims to support data collection for research and legal analysis purposes, particularly in reinforcing efforts to prevent and combat money laundering and terrorism financing in Indonesia.
In his remarks, the Dean of Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Ali Masyhar Musyid, S.H., M.H., emphasized that this partnership reflects UNNES’s active contribution to promoting clean, accountable financial governance through legal research.
“We hope the outcomes of this research will serve as strategic policy recommendations for PPATK to strengthen the national financial crime prevention system, in alignment with the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision,” stated Prof. Ali.
Dr. Indah Sri Utari, S.H., M.Hum., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs , noted that the academic community’s involvement in PPATK’s research not only enhances the university’s role in national legal development but also enriches both practical and academic insights.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Azil Maskur, S.H., M.H., Vice Dean for Business, Research, and Collaboration, underscored the importance of empirical, data-driven research in formulating legal policies that effectively address issues related to money laundering and financial crimes.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions through transparent and accountable governance.
The partnership is expected to produce comprehensive academic analyses while reinforcing UNNES’s reputation in realizing Fakultas Hukum Menggema, cultivating Lulusan Digdaya (Distinguished Graduates), and supporting the advancement of Hukum Berdaulat (Sovereign Law) in Indonesia.
