Since 2011, Semarang State University (UNNES) has been committed to realizing a sustainable campus. This commitment is expressed in the establishment of the Conservation Division, which over time the unit changed its form to a Technical Implementation Unit and then changed again to the Subdirectorate of Conservation.
The Conservation Subdirectorate is the UNNES conservation office which carries out the functions and tasks of planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the realization of the UNNES vision with a conservation perspective in order to gain an international reputation. The tasks and functions of the conservation development unit are simplified into 3 (three) conservation pillars without reducing their scope, namely the value and character pillar, the arts and culture pillar, and the natural resources and environment pillar.
Determination of the Conservation Subdirectorate based on Rector Decree Number 22 of 2009 concerning UNNES as a Conservation University; Rector Decree Number 27 of 2012 concerning Conservation-Minded Campus Management at UNNES; Rector Decree of Assignment Number 859/UN37/TU/2015 concerning the Activity Implementation Team in the Conservation Development Unit in 2015, and Rector Decree Number 6 of 2017 concerning the UNNES Conservation Spirit.
