The Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is organizing a special giveaway for active FBS students. This initiative offers students the chance to win an exclusive FBS tumbler as a way to boost their enthusiasm during the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
Students can participate in this opportunity by sharing their experiences or memorable moments during the midterm examinations in the comments section of the designated Instagram post at @fbsunnes and tagging three friends. The story does not need to be lengthy, what matters is the spirit and motivation conveyed through the post.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The committee will randomly select four winners, who will be revealed via Instagram Story. Prizes can be collected in person at the Faculty Administration Office (TU) during office hours by presenting a valid Student Identification Card (KTM).
Using a reusable bottle for drinking aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), and climate action (SDG 13). Switching from single-use plastic bottles to reusable ones reduces plastic waste, conserves resources, and minimizes the environmental impact of transportation and production associated with bottled water.
Moreover, distributing tumblers encourages eco-friendly habits and contributes to creating a positive and supportive academic environment, fostering optimal learning outcomes. Beyond motivation, the program also serves as a means to strengthen student engagement and camaraderie. It is hoped that such initiatives will help students enjoy the examination process while maintaining their learning enthusiasm throughout the midterm period.
