The Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Universitas Negeri Semarang (DWP UNNES) organized an empowerment seminar to enhance women’s role in various aspects of life. The event took place in the Senate Room of the UNNES Rectorate on Thursday, May 25, and was attended by the DWP UNNES board and its members.

This empowerment seminar is an initiative of DWP UNNES, committed to increasing the participation and contribution of women in social, economic, and cultural development within the community. The event also aims to provide knowledge and insights to participants regarding significant issues faced by contemporary women and inspire them to realize their fullest potential.

In her opening remarks, the Chairwoman of DWP UNNES, Mrs. Karniti S. Martono, emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment across various aspects of life. She explained that this year’s seminar focuses on “Resilient and Independent Personalities for the Excellence of the Nation.”

“This is closely related to the ideal image of a woman who plays the role of a mother and wife, where a resilient personality and independence can lead our nation toward progress and brilliance,” stated Mrs. Karniti S. Martono.

Through this seminar, DWP UNNES aims to provide a platform for its board members and participants to share experiences, learn from expert speakers, and gain a deeper understanding of various critical issues confronting women.

The seminar featured Bonita D. Sempurno, a personality expert and PT YPI Training Centre and Consultancy director. Bonita shared her experiences of achieving success in a business world dominated by men. Her inspirational story motivated and reassured seminar participants that anyone, including women, can succeed.

Participants showed great enthusiasm and eagerness to engage in the various discussion sessions and workshops held during the event. They also had the opportunity to ask the speakers questions directly and gain new insights on different topics related to women’s empowerment.

In closing the seminar, Mrs. Karniti S. Martono thanked all participants, speakers, and the organizing committee for their contributions to the event’s success. She reaffirmed DWP UNNES’s commitment to continue hosting activities that promote women’s empowerment and activate their roles in building a better future.
