Semarang, October 8, 2025 – More good news comes from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FH UNNES). One of its outstanding students, Rio Dwi Yuansyah (2408010347), won 3rd place in the 2025 Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Literary Essay Competition, organized by the UGM Student Executive Board (BEM KM).
This competition is a prestigious event that brings together students from various universities in Indonesia to channel critical and innovative ideas in the form of scientific papers. Through his essay, Rio successfully presented solution-oriented ideas focused on improving legal literacy and public awareness of the importance of the rule of law in the life of the nation and state.
This achievement is a true reflection of the spirit of “FH Menggema, Lulusan Digdaya, dan Hukum Berdaulat” (FH Resonates, Graduates are Powerful, and Law is Sovereign), which continues to be echoed by the UNNES Faculty of Law in producing a young generation that is critical, has integrity, and is highly competitive in the national arena. Rio’s success is not only a source of pride for his alma mater, but also clear evidence that UNNES Faculty of Law students are capable of contributing to intellectual discourse and legal literacy in Indonesia.
In addition, this achievement contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes the importance of improving the quality of education and developing students’ capacity for critical, creative, and innovative thinking. Through this achievement, FH UNNES demonstrates its commitment to supporting quality education that encourages the mastery of knowledge, skills, and the formation of excellent character for students.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law UNNES, Prof. Dr. Ali Masyhar Mursyid, S.H., M.H., expressed his appreciation and pride in this achievement. He emphasized that the UNNES Faculty of Law will continue to support various academic and non-academic activities for students to foster a culture of sustainable achievement.
