Semarang, November 9, 2025 — The Chemical Engineering Student Association (HMPTK) of Universitas Negeri Semarang successfully held the National Seminar and Talkshow 2025 with the theme “Integration of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) within the Framework of Energy Transition Towards Carbon Emission Neutrality.”
This nationwide event, attended by more than 800 participants via Zoom and YouTube, brought together students, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss the critical role of CCUS technology in achieving Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission 2060 target, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 13 (Climate Action).
The seminar featured four distinguished speakers: Ninditya Permatasari, S.T. (Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, Central Java), Dr. Ria Desiriani, S.T., M.T. (National Research and Innovation Agency – BRIN), Iqbal Damanik (Climate and Energy Manager, Greenpeace Indonesia), and Ir. Isnandhi Dwi Saputra, S.T., M.Eng. (PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional).
The event was officially opened by Dr.-Ing. Dhidik Prastiyanto, S.T., M.T., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Semarang, who highlighted the university’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s low-carbon transition through academic innovation and collaboration among academia, government, and industry.
Through this academic forum, HMPTK Universitas Negeri Semarang demonstrated its dedication to fostering sustainable technology development and promoting environmental awareness among future engineers. The 2025 National Seminar and Talkshow stands as a milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s collective effort toward green energy transition and sustainable development in the journey to realize “Indonesia Emas 2045.”
