Branjang Village, October 4, 2025 – Branjang Village made history in its sustainable agricultural transformation by holding Intada Week (Village Technology and Agribusiness Innovation) 2025. This culminating event of the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) of the HMPPE FEB UNNES successfully integrated three main pillars: the graduation of 35 members of the Gading Mayang Farmers’ Studio, the handover of five appropriate technology packages, and the launch of eight superior diversified products. The event, held in the Branjang Village Hall’s Multipurpose Building, comprehensively supported the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
The event, attended by more than 200 participants, witnessed the presence of several important officials, including representatives of the Semarang Regent, H. Ngesti Nugraha, S.H., M.H., officials from the Semarang Regency Agriculture Office, the Cooperatives, MSMEs, Industry and Trade Office, the Environment and Forestry Office of Central Java Province, as well as strategic partners Kamala Coffee and local agribusinesses. This multi-stakeholder collaboration demonstrated a shared commitment to building a sustainable and highly competitive agricultural ecosystem.
Five appropriate technological innovations were officially handed over to the Gading Mayang Farmers’ Studio: Climbo Tech, a tree climbing device with a safety system to increase safety and harvest efficiency by up to 60%. Metacow, a 500-liter biogas digester that converts livestock waste into renewable energy. MixedMe, an automatic mixer for the production of palm sugar and liquid sugar with guaranteed quality. SiLajang website, an e-commerce platform specifically for agricultural products from Branjang Village. Digital Monitoring System, a tool for monitoring the production and distribution of processed products.
“These five technologies are the result of six months of research and development by a student team and their supervising lecturers. Their implementation is expected to increase productivity by up to 40%,” explained Ahmad Wafiq Rafi Ardani, Chairperson of the Student Organizations (Ormawa) PPK Executive Board.
Eight diversified products were successfully launched at this event: Coconut Products: Premium coconut soy sauce and sterile-packaged Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Palm Products: Bottled liquid sugar and palm sugar in various flavors. Organic Fertilizer: Solid and liquid fertilizer made from cattle waste. Derivative Products: Aromatherapy soap made from coconut oil and briquettes made from biogas waste. “Through product diversification, the selling value of agricultural commodities increases significantly. For example, a coconut, which was originally worth only IDR 5,000, can reach IDR 25,000 after being processed into VCO,” explained Juwita Ria Rumondang, S.Pd., M.Pd., a food technology expert from UNNES.
Mr. Suwanto, Head of the Gading Mayang Farmers’ Studio, expressed his pride: “During the six months of mentoring, we received not only technology transfer but also business management and marketing guidance. Now we are ready to compete in the modern market with quality products.” A representative of the Semarang Regent expressed his high appreciation: “Intada Week 2025 is a clear demonstration of the quadruple helix synergy between the government, academics, business actors, and the community. This empowerment model is worthy of replication in other villages.”
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UNNES, Agung Yulianto, S.Pd., M.Si., emphasized his ongoing commitment: “Going forward, UNNES will continue to support business development and market expansion for Branjang Village’s superior products.” This program has created 25 new jobs in the food processing sector and increased farmers’ income by an average of 35%. “With technology and product diversification, I can now earn Rp 4-5 million per month, up from Rp 1.5 million previously,” said Srianah, a member of the farmers’ studio. The implementation of appropriate technology innovations represents inclusive industrialization at the village level. “MixedMe not only reduces production time from 4 hours to 1 hour, but also ensures consistent product quality,” explained Beny Novatama, a production expert from the Department of Industry. This program applies circular economy principles by utilizing livestock waste for energy and fertilizer. “The Metacow biogas digester can reduce methane emissions while producing clean energy for 10 families,” said Rima Asri from the Central Java Environment and Forestry Agency.
