Semarang, August 12, 2025 – To strengthen ties between generations and reinforce professional networks, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Undergraduate, Master’s, Doctoral, and PPK Programs of the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) at Semarang State University held a Grand Alumni Gathering with the theme “Weaving Memories, Shaping the Future.” The event, held in Auditorium C7 on the 3rd floor of the FISIP UNNES building, was attended by hundreds of alums from various generations, ranging from the program’s first graduates to recent graduates. More than just a reunion, the event also served as a strategic forum for sharing experiences, inspiration, and ideas for advancing guidance and counseling in Indonesia.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., Dean of FIPP UNNES, who, in his speech, emphasized the importance of alums in expanding networks and scientific contributions. “Alumni are valuable assets that reflect the quality and reputation of the institution. Synergy between the campus and alumni will positively impact the development of education and counseling services in the community,” he said.
Important figures in the alum community, including Dra, were also present. Ardina Safitri Firli (Chair of IKA BK S1), Dr. Amien Wahyudi, M.Pd., Kons. (Chair of IKA PPK UNNES), as well as retired BK lecturers who have made significant contributions to building the scientific foundation of the study program. The presence of alumni from different generations created a warm, nostalgic atmosphere, accompanied by stories from their college days that evoked laughter and deep reflection.
The event’s highlight was the election of new officers for the UNNES BK Alumni Association for the 2025–2030 period. Through a dynamic deliberation process, Dra. Ardina Safitri Firli was elected as Chairperson, accompanied by Sigit Hariyadi, M.Pd. as Vice Chairperson 1, Tri Leksono Prihandoko, S.Kom., M.Pd., Kons. as Vice Chairperson 2, and Nurcahyo Adi Prasetyo, S.Pd., Cons. as Vice Chairperson 3. In her inaugural speech, Dra. Ardina stated her intention to make IKA BK UNNES a driving force for collaborative programs between alumni, students, and lecturers, including joint research development, professional training, and social activities that directly impact the community.
In addition to the official agenda, participants also enjoyed various casual sessions such as lunch together, souvenir exchanges, and door prize giveaways, which further strengthened the bonds of kinship among alumni. Not to be missed, the group photo session became a moment that captured the happiness and togetherness of all participants. The event closed with a prayer and motivational message, leaving optimism to build a brighter future for BK UNNES.
With the realization of this Grand Alumni Gathering, it is hoped that the synergy among alums will not only stop at nostalgia but will continue to become a real movement in building networks, expanding academic contributions, and improving guidance and counseling services for the wider community.
