Another proud achievement has been made by a student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Radite Ranggi Ananta, an undergraduate student of the Geography Study Programme, has successfully secured research and program funding from the Youth Climate Impact Fellowship Indonesia amounting to IDR 10,000,000.

This programme is a prestigious national-level initiative aimed at supporting the ideas and concrete actions of young people in addressing climate change issues and advancing sustainable development in Indonesia. The research proposed by Radite was assessed as innovative and highly relevant to efforts in climate crisis mitigation and adaptation.

Under the supervision of Dr Rahma Hayati, S.Si., M.Si., Radite has demonstrated strong commitment and concern for global environmental issues. His academic supervisor highly appreciated Radite’s hard work and regarded this achievement as proof that UNNES students are able to compete and make positive contributions to society and the environment.

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UNNES also expressed its appreciation for this accomplishment. The Dean of FISIP stated that this achievement is in line with the spirit of the conservation campus in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action. Through research and innovation from young people like Radite, it is hoped that creative solutions will emerge to safeguard the sustainability of the Earth and the well-being of future generations.
