The learning innovation developed is a virtual learning environment named FUMSITE, an interactive platform based on STEM contexts integrated with the Challenge-Based on Differentiated Learning model to enhance students’ critical thinking skills. FUMSITE is designed as a structured digital learning website where each page has interconnected functions to create a dynamic and collaborative learning experience. It provides a variety of STEM-contextualized materials and exercises that are linked to real-life situations.

On the main page, learners are welcomed with the FUMSITE homepage and a Start button that leads to the roadmap section. The upper-right menu features FAQ, which connects users to the developer via Telegram, About Us, containing developer profiles, and User Guide, which explains how to utilize the website’s features effectively. At the beginning of the learning process, learners are provided with pages containing Learning Style Tests, a Motivation Letter, and a Concept Map to help them understand their characteristics and learning readiness.

The first step involves completing the learning style test to identify individual learning tendencies. The results are used to form learning groups categorized into auditory, visual, and kinesthetic types, enabling adaptive learning tailored to each individual’s characteristics. Subsequently, learners engage in activities structured according to the syntax of the Challenge-Based on Differentiated Learning model, including: Big Idea, Essential Question, The Challenge, Guiding Resource, Guiding Question, Guiding Activity, Solution-Action, Publishing, Reflection, Summary, and Competency Test.

In the Big Idea and Essential Question stages, learners explore contextual STEM-based issues relevant to their daily lives. The Challenge stage presents real-world problems to be collaboratively solved. Through Guiding Resource, Guiding Question, and Guiding Activity, students are guided to comprehend key concepts using process differentiation, allowing them to select the most suitable learning style for a more meaningful learning experience.

The Solution-Action stage serves as a platform for learners to apply the acquired knowledge in solving the given challenge. The group’s results are then presented during the Publishing stage, allowing learners to receive direct feedback from teachers and peers. Subsequently, the Reflection stage is facilitated through an interactive quiz using Quizizz, enabling evaluation of individual comprehension of the material.

Each learning session concludes with a Summary, presenting the core concepts, and a Competency Test designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills within STEM contexts. In the third learning session, product differentiation strategies are implemented, allowing learners to express their learning outcomes in various creative formats such as posters, bubble maps, or simple booklets according to their interests and creativity.

Through this design, FUMSITE functions not only as a digital learning platform but also as an interactive, adaptive, and contextual virtual learning environment. The integration of STEM contexts, the Challenge-Based on Differentiated Learning model, and the application of differentiated process and product strategies make FUMSITE a pioneering innovation in mathematics education, relevant to the demands of 21st-century learning.
