Semarang, January 9, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) kicked off its academic activities for 2026 by holding a Joint Exercise with the FISIP UNNES Academic Community. The event took place on Friday morning at the front lawn of Building C8 FISIP UNNES as part of efforts to foster a culture of healthy living and camaraderie within the faculty.
Approximately 60 participants, consisting of lecturers and educational staff (tendik) of FISIP UNNES, took part in the joint exercise. Faculty leaders, including the Dean, Vice Deans, Program Coordinators, and Chief of Staff, were also present as a form of tangible support for strengthening a healthy and productive work culture.
The exercise lasted for one hour, starting at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., with a cool and conducive morning atmosphere. All participants enthusiastically followed the exercise movements, reflecting the spirit of togetherness of the FISIP UNNES academic community in starting the new year.
In addition to maintaining physical fitness, this activity also served as a means to strengthen relationships among faculty members. Furthermore, the joint exercise was in line with FISIP UNNES’ commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
One of the participants, Bambang Hermanto, a lecturer in Political Science at FISIP UNNES, said that joint exercise activities have a positive impact on the academic community. According to him, exercising together not only maintains health, but also increases work enthusiasm and togetherness among lecturers and educational staff.
Through this activity, FISIP UNNES reaffirms its commitment to creating a healthy, harmonious, and productive work environment, and to making group exercise activities a regular faculty agenda throughout 2026.
