Semarang, UNNES — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Semarang State University (FISIP UNNES) held a Socialization of the Research and Community Service Program Funded by DPA LPPM UNNES Fiscal Year 2026 on Thursday (15/1) in the Hall of Building C7, 3rd Floor, FISIP UNNES. This event was attended by lecturers and the academic community of FISIP UNNES as a strategic effort to improve the quality of research and community service that has a real impact on society.
The socialization featured Prof. Dr. Widya Hary Cahyati, S.KM., M.Kes., as the main speaker. In her presentation, Prof. Widya explained the policies, schemes, and funding mechanisms for research and community service managed by LPPM UNNES through the 2026 DPA Fund. All schemes are required to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Eight Goals of the President of the Republic of Indonesia as a form of UNNES’ commitment to supporting sustainable development.
Prof. Widya emphasized that the UNNES LPPM DPA Fund program is not only oriented towards increasing the quantity of scientific publications, but also towards the quality and relevance of research results and community service in addressing real issues in society. The various schemes offered include basic research, applied research, national and international collaboration, innovation commercialization, strategic policy studies, and community service based on empowerment.
Through this activity, FISIP UNNES encourages lecturers and researchers to develop proposals that not only meet academic standards but also have measurable social, economic, and environmental impacts. Student involvement in research and community service activities is also a focus as part of strengthening the capacity of the younger generation.
This outreach activity contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening the capacity of lecturers and academics in developing high-quality, relevant, and sustainable research and community service, in line with UNNES’ vision as a conservation-minded and globally-oriented university.
