The workshop aimed to enhance the competence of sports coaches and physical education teachers in implementing effective teaching and training strategies, while also introducing the concept of sports nutrition tailored to the local potential and wisdom of Banjarnegara.

The event was attended by more than one hundred participants, consisting of PE teachers, coaches, and sports enthusiasts from various schools and sports branches across Banjarnegara. Meanwhile, Head of Disdikpora Banjarnegara, Mr. Teguh Handoko, S.Sos., added that the workshop is expected to bring positive impact on improving students’ sports achievements.

“With a better understanding of sports learning and nutrition, teachers can support students to become healthier, more active, and more accomplished,” he said.

Through this workshop, FIK UNNES, together with KONI and Disdikpora Banjarnegara, reaffirmed their commitment to continuing sustainable collaboration in building a more advanced, independent, and competitive regional sports ecosystem, while upholding local values as a key strength. This initiative is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting health and fitness through physical education, strengthening the professional competence of teachers and coaches, and fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of sustainable development in the sports sector.
