Semarang – In an effort to strengthen educational quality and foster international collaboration, the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Prof. Koh Koon Teck from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, on 11 October 2025 at the FIK UNNES Dean’s Office.
Prof. Koh Koon Teck attended as an External Examiner and Academic Consultant, providing strategic insights on curriculum development, research quality enhancement, and academic standardization in the field of sport science. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including program evaluation, the integration of evidence-based research practices, and opportunities for international research collaboration.
The event involved active participation from faculty leaders and heads of study programs, who collectively discussed strategies for academic strengthening and global partnership development.
As part of his role as an external examiner, Prof. Koh also provided feedback on the quality of students’ theses and dissertations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining originality in scientific work and building international publication networks.
This activity is expected to have a significant positive impact on curriculum improvement, research advancement, and the overall quality of FIK UNNES graduates in the future.
