Kuala Lumpur, November 4, 2025 – The Faculty of Law, Semarang State University (FH UNNES) conducted a strategic visit to the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur as an effort to foster and strengthen international relations, particularly in the development of higher education cooperation in the field of law. This meeting marks an important step in expanding academic diplomatic networks and enhancing FH UNNES’s presence on the international stage.
This visit is in line with UNNES’ commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which emphasizes the importance of strengthening institutions and fair governance. In addition, this activity also contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the development of cross-border partnerships between higher education institutions and Indonesian diplomatic institutions abroad.
During the meeting, FH UNNES and the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur discussed opportunities for collaboration, including strengthening legal research, improving student competencies through international internship programs, supporting academic activities, and facilitating cooperation with universities in Malaysia. The Indonesian Embassy welcomed FH UNNES’ efforts to expand Indonesia’s role in global education and committed to providing diplomatic support in the future.
This activity is in line with the spirit of FHMenggema, namely a faculty that is active in its work and building a strong academic reputation in the international arena. Efforts to expand the academic diplomacy network are also part of FH UNNES’ strategy in producing Digdaya Graduates, namely graduates who are superior, globally competitive, and ready to contribute to national and international legal development. This diplomatic step also reflects the vision of Sovereign Law, namely the development of legal science that upholds the dignity of the nation and supports Indonesia’s academic independence at the global level.
With the implementation of this visit, FH UNNES affirms its commitment as an impactful campus that not only plays a role in the development of legal science domestically but also actively strengthens Indonesia’s educational diplomacy abroad.
