Faculty of Law at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FH UNNES) continues to strengthen its strategic role as an academic institution with a tangible impact on regional development. On Friday, July 12, 2025, FH UNNES initiated a collaboration exploration with the Batang Regency Government, aiming to foster partnerships in education, research, and community service.
During the official visit, the Dean of FH UNNES, Prof. Dr. Ali Masyhar Mursyid, S.H., M.H., was warmly welcomed by M. Faiz Kurniawan, S.H., M.H., the Regent of Batang, along with the Batang Regency Regional Secretary. The meeting focused on potential collaborations including legal assistance, research-based policy development, and capacity building for regional government officials in legal matters.
Prof. Ali Masyhar emphasized that this partnership initiative marks the first step in expanding FH UNNES’ real contributions in supporting a just and responsive local government.
“We are committed to ensuring that the role of universities extends beyond the academic sphere, offering direct benefits to local governments and the community,” he stated.
This collaborative move aligns with efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting the importance of cross-sectoral partnerships in realizing sustainable development. FH UNNES remains steadfast in promoting the spirit of FH Menggema, producing Lulusan Digdaya (Outstanding Graduates), and strengthening the principle of Hukum Berdaulat (Sovereign Law) as the foundation for impactful legal development.
It is hoped that this initial partnership exploration will soon be formalized through an official agreement, bringing tangible benefits to both the academic community and the Batang Regency Government in advancing better governance — contributing to the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
