Sharpening Research and Scientific Writing Skills, FIK UNNES Invites International Expert from National Taiwan Normal University
As part of its commitment to academic development, the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a Workshop on Research Methods and Scientific Writing on October 3, 2025.
The event featured a distinguished speaker, Assistant Professor Philip X. Fuchs, Ph.D., from National Taiwan Normal University. With his extensive international academic experience, Prof. Philip shared in-depth insights on effective research methodologies and techniques for producing high-quality scientific papers.
The workshop was attended by lecturers, students, and researchers within FIK UNNES who were eager to enhance their research competencies and improve their skills in preparing publishable academic articles.
In his presentation, Prof. Philip emphasized the importance of mastering appropriate research methods as a fundamental basis for producing valid and credible scientific works. He also provided practical tips on academic writing structure, the use of formal academic language, and strategies to increase the acceptance rate in reputable international journals.
This activity not only strengthened participants’ technical competencies but also opened broader opportunities for international collaboration among the academic community of FIK UNNES.
Through such international training and experiences, FIK UNNES is increasingly prepared to produce high-quality scientific works that make a real contribution to education and sports development at both national and global levels.
