The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a Socialization Program on the Prevention and Handling of Violence (PKK) aimed at all members of the academic community, including lecturers, administrative staff, and students. The event took place on the FISIP UNNES campus and featured Dr. Ristina Yudhanti, S.H., M.Hum., Chair of the UNNES Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence (Satgas PPK), along with her team, as the main speakers.

This socialization activity reflects FISIP UNNES’s commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and violence-free educational environment. The initiative aligns with the institution’s efforts to prevent and address any form of violence that may occur within the university, particularly within the FISIP community.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Arif Purnomo, S.Pd., S.S., M.Pd., Dean of FISIP UNNES, emphasized the role of educational institutions as role models for broader society. “The world of education should set an example for best practices to the wider community,” said Prof. Arif. He also expressed hope that through this initiative, FISIP UNNES can remain free from violence and other harmful behaviors.

Dr. Ristina Yudhanti and her team delivered a comprehensive presentation on the various forms of violence, reporting mechanisms, and the official procedures for handling such cases at UNNES. The session aimed not only to enhance understanding of the importance of prevention but also to empower all academic members to report incidents and take an active role in fostering a safe environment.

Through this initiative, it is hoped that the entire FISIP UNNES academic community will gain greater awareness and sufficient knowledge to prevent and address violence effectively, thus fostering a conducive and harmonious academic climate for all.
