Jakarta – In an effort to strengthen the implementation of national sports policies, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), through the Deputy for Sports Performance Enhancement, held a Discussion on the Roadmap for the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) Phase 2 for 2025–2029. The event took place on Friday–Saturday, 10–11 October 2025, at Hotel Veranda, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta.
One of the key figures involved in the activity was Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd., an academic known for her active role in advancing education and sports development. She participated as part of the Monitoring and Evaluation Team for DBON Implementation, which is responsible for providing strategic input and ensuring that the implementation of national sports policies is based on data and academic research.
The event brought together various stakeholders, including representatives from government institutions, academia, sports practitioners, and regional delegates. Its main objective was to evaluate the outcomes of the first phase and to formulate strategic directions for the next five-year period.
With the involvement of experts and policymakers, the discussion is expected to make the implementation of DBON more structured, measurable, and impactful in elevating Indonesia’s sports achievements to the international level.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
- SDG 4: Quality Education, as the involvement of academics and the focus on sports education development contribute to enhancing the quality of education and knowledge based on data and scientific research.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as the activity fosters multi-sector collaboration among government bodies, academics, sports practitioners, and regional representatives in achieving the goals of national sports development.
