The final semester exam for the Bridal Makeup from Outside Java course was conducted on December 2, 2025, at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES. The examination served as an important academic agenda for students of the Beauty Education Study Program, showcasing the culmination of skills they had acquired throughout the semester. The event was supervised directly by Maria Krisnawati, S.Pd., M.Sn., accompanied by the Coordinator of the Beauty Education Study Program, Dr. Ade Novi Nurul Ihsani, S.Pd., M.Pd., who provided full support to ensure the assessment ran smoothly and professionally.

This practical exam highlighted a variety of bridal makeup traditions from regions beyond Java, requiring students to deeply understand cultural nuances, costume details, and authentic makeup techniques. By presenting diverse cultural identities through their work, students demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also their sensitivity in interpreting regional customs and aesthetics. Each performance reflected the richness of Indonesian cultural heritage brought into the academic environment of UNNES.

The assessment also emphasized the importance of vocational readiness. Students were encouraged to integrate creativity, precision, and professional standards into their work, preparing them for future careers in the beauty and cultural industries. Their ability to transform theoretical knowledge into practical application became a key indicator of their competency as candidates for beauty and makeup educators, practitioners, and creative industry professionals.

Beyond showcasing skills, this activity contributed to broader educational and cultural goals. The final exam supported the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) through competency-based learning and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by strengthening vocational practices aligned with industry needs. At the same time, the preservation of regional bridal traditions in this practical exam reaffirmed the commitment of UNNES to cultural sustainability through education.
