Prof. Dr. Putut Marwoto, M.S. beliau lahir di Pati, 21 Agustus 1963, dosen jurusan Fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang, NIDN: 0021086306, Google scholar ID :  TbG3ENAAAAAJ, Sinta ID : 257533, Scopus ID : 36904245100, Jumlah manuskrip terindeks scopus  beliau sebanyak 50  dan mempunyai h-index 4.

Beliau memiliki pengalaman manajerial diantaranya 1. Ketua Program Studi S1 Fisika, Jurusan  Fisika, FMIPA UNNES (2005 – 2007), 2. Ketua Jurusan Fisika (merangkap Ketua Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Fisika) FMIPA UNNES (2007 – 2011), 3. Ketua Program Studi Magister Pendidikan IPA (S2) Program Pascasarjana UNNES (2011 – 2013), 4. Ketua Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Fisika (S2) Program Pascasarjana UNNES (2013 – 2015), 5. Kepala Pusat Layanan Publikasi dan Kekayaan Intelektual LP2M UNNES (2018), 6. Pendidikan

Prof. Dr. Putut Marwoto, M.S.  memperoleh gelar Sarjana S1 Pendidikan Fisika IKIP Semarang (Lulus 1986), Magister S2 Fisika Institut Teknologi Bandung   (Lulus 1990), Doktor Falsafah (Ph.D) Fisika Universiti Teknologi Malaysia  (Lulus 2004/2005).

Penelitian

Beliau aktif dalam penelitian dan pengabdian, penelitian dan pengabdian yang pernah dilakukan diantaranya 1. Pengaruh Daya Plasma dan Suhu Annealing pada Sifat Fisis Film Tipis ZnO Doping Galium yang Ditumbuhkan dengan Metode DC Magnetron Sputtering, 2. Modifikasi Selubung Fiber Optik Polimer dengan Material Aktif Carbon Nanodots dari Daur Ulang Limbah Styrofoam (Polystrene) untuk Deteksi Ion Logam, 3. Dispersi Titanium Dioksida (TiO2) dalam Minyak Jelantah sebagai Bahan Double Photocatalyst untuk Dekomposisi Polutan Pewarna Cair, 4. Pemanfaatan Nanopartikel Carbon Dots (C-Dots) sebagai Suplemen Pupuk untuk Pemacu Pertumbuhan Tanaman, 5. Analisis Sifat Termal Limbah Plastik untuk Menentukan Potensi Daur Ulangnya menjadi Carbon Nanodots, 6. Deteksi Ion Logam Berat menggunakan Carbon Dots dari Sampah Plastik, 7. Studi tentang struktur Morfologi dan Sifat Optik Film Tipis ZnO:Al Pada Daya Plasma Yang Berbeda, 8. Pengaruh Daya Plasma Pada Film Tipis Zinc Oxide dengan Doping Gallium Oxide, 9. Pengaruh tekanan oksigen pada proses annealing film tipis ZnO:Al, 10. Peningkatan Profesionalime Guru Smp/Mts Dalam Mengembangkan Pembelajaran Fisika Berbasis Steam Dengan Memanfaatkan Kearifan Lokal Dan Menulis Karya Ilmiah Di Kabupaten Wonosobo, 11.
