Bertempat di Auditorium Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Prof Dr Haryono Suyono memberikan pembekalan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Lokasi Tahap II Tahun 2017 Prodi Pendidikan, Selasa (17/10).

Saat memberikan sambutan Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Prof Dr Rustono Mhum menyampaikan, KKN tahap II tahun 2017 ini merupakan KKN Tematik yang didalamnya ada kegiatan POSDAYA, sehingga program kerja mahasiswa KKN merupakan program kerja bidang garapan yang mengacupada human development index (HDI) yang meliputi bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, ekonomi, linkungan dan infrastruktur.

Pada saat memberikan pembekalan Prof Haryono menjelaskan, peran KKN tematik Posdaya dalam pemberdayaan keluarga. Dalam hal ini program pertama dalam KKN adalah bagaimana mengantar keluarga-keluarga di pedesaan dalam mengentaskan kemiskinan.

Ia menambahkan, saya yakin mahasiswa akan menjadikan peningkatkan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) dan MDG’s tercapai. Program ini juga disertai aksi yang sifatnya pemberdayaan masyarakat. Selain itu yang paling penting adalah mahasiswa KKN juga harus membuat keluarga di pedesaan saling peduli.

Selain itu juga disampaikan, perguruan tinggi mempunyai kewajiban melaksanakan Tri Dharma dan pelaksanaan KKN adalah tanggung jawab sosial perguruan tinggi terhadap masyarakat yang dilakukan dengan komitmen dan partisipasi tinggi. Untuk terjun ke masyarakat saat ini kita harus mengerti keadaannya karena seperti yang kita tahu masyarakat sekarang sudah jauh berbeda dengan masyarakat 70 tahun lalu, masyarakat sekarang menunjukkan kemajuan dengan kecerdasan yang mereka miliki. Perguruan Tinggi harus mampu memadukan antara pendidikan penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Sebanyak 3.675 mahasiswa mengikuti kegiatan ini dan selanjutnya mereka akan diterjunkan di 5 kabupaten (Kabupaten Magelang, Kendal, Batang,Pelalongan dan Kabupaten Tegal). Untuk KKN alternatif dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Semarang dan Kota Semarang.
