MATRAFON (Mathematics Traditional Food Kebumen) is a website-based e-comic learning medium that connects mathematics materials with traditional Kebumen culinary arts. The MATRAFON media invites students to learn the System of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) through various problems close to daily life. In its development, MATRAFON combines e-comics, interactive websites, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and ethnomathematics. This combination is expected to make mathematics learning feel closer to students’ experiences while making it more interesting to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MATRAFON encourages students to explore as food vloggers while solving contextual mathematical problems related to traditional Kebumen foods, such as Sate Ambal, Soto Tamanwinangun, Nasi Penggel, Lanting, and Jipang Kacang. Through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, students do not only focus on the final answer but also identify information, construct mathematical models, choose solving strategies, and draw conclusions based on contextual understanding. MATRAFON was developed using the Research and Development (RnD) 3D model (Define, Design, and Develop). Following the development phase, feasibility, readability, and student response tests were conducted. The development results showed that MATRAFON is feasible to use, easy to understand, and received an excellent response from students. This media not only supports the learning of the System of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) and the optimization of algebraic thinking skills but also presents contextual, interactive, and meaningful learning through the introduction of traditional Kebumen foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MATRAFON is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which emphasizes the protection and preservation of cultural heritage. Through the integration of mathematics, technology, and local culture, MATRAFON presents contextual learning by utilizing traditional Kebumen foods as part of the learning experience. Students not only learn the concept of SPLDV but also recognize and appreciate the wealth of local culture that is close to everyday life. Thus, MATRAFON contributes to supporting the introduction and preservation of local cultural heritage through technology-based mathematics learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
