The activity was carried out on May 6, 2025 and is part of the Coastal and Marine Management Course. The focus of the activity is on collecting data on abiotic components such as meteorological conditions, salinity, water quality, biotic environmental components such as fauna, species and mangrove biophysics, as well as socio-culture such as community utilization and local wisdom.

This activity was accompanied by lecturers, namely Prof. Dr. Nana Kariada Tri Martuti, M.Si, Abdul Jabbar, S.Si., M.Ling, Trida Ridho Fariz, S.Si., M.Sc and Putri Alifa Kholil, S.T., M.Ling. The students learned directly in the field about the complexity of coastal environmental management in a holistic and interdisciplinary manner.

This excursion supports the achievement of IKU 7 (Collaborative and Participatory Classes), actively involving students in experiential learning. The activity also strengthens the vision of the Environmental Science Study Program at UNNES, which aims to develop environmental science based on conservation and community empowerment, particularly in coastal areas. Furthermore, this fieldwork aligns with the vision of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNNES as a Pioneer of Excellence in Education and Research on Natural Resources that is Innovative and Conservation-Oriented. Through this activity, students gained direct insights into coastal environmental management, reinforcing their understanding of conservation principles through real-world practice.

Students of the Environmental Science Study Program, Semarang State University (UNNES) carried out an Excursion or Field Lecture activity in the Tapak mangrove area and Tirang Beach, Semarang City.
