The Community Service Team of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Negeri Semarang held a socialization of the development of a Bank Sampah on Sendangguwo Village, on June 2, 2024. Led by Prof. Dr. Supriyadi, and lecturers Arka Yanitama, M.Si., M.Ahganiya Naufal, M.Si., and student members from the Science study program Frida Afra Adhani, Mentari Febrina Listia, and Hanifah Nurul Hudaini, and attended by around 30 participants from the Sumber Rejeki Bank Sampah community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The resource person, Dr. Kusmuriyanto from the UNNES Conservation Department, spoke about waste management, including the development of an organic waste bank and financial management from the RT\/RW level. Mrs. Ayu Nawang Wulan, the head of the waste bank, appreciated this activity which increased the enthusiasm of the managers. The discussion involved the participants’ experiences in processing waste, including making crafts from plastic waste. The activity also included weighing waste using a more efficient digital scale. A total of 292 kilograms of inorganic waste was collected from representatives of 9 RTs, which will be sold to collectors. The community recorded an income of more than 4 million rupiah in 2023, with the hope of increasing public awareness of waste management and realizing the tagline “Turn waste into blessings.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
