Semarang, 21 May 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Semarang State University (FMIPA UNNES) continues to be committed to environmental conservation efforts by monitoring trees that have been planted in the campus area. One of the latest initiatives taken is checking and monitoring the development of aid trees from PT Djarum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tree planting program is part of UNNES’ strategic steps to preserve the environment and anticipate the impact of global warming. In recent years, UNNES has actively planted various types of trees in the campus area and surrounding areas, aiming to restore and maintain a healthy green ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Isnarto, M.Si., Deputy Dean for Planning and Resources, FMIPA UNNES<\/strong>, stated that this monitoring is very important to ensure that the trees grow well and provide optimal benefits for the environment. \u201cWe not only plant, but also ensure that these trees are cared for and grow well. Regular monitoring helps us identify problems as early as possible and take necessary action,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the trees monitored was a donation from PT Djarum, which is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This assistance is very meaningful in environmental conservation efforts at UNNES. PT Djarum has donated a number of productive trees which are expected to make a positive contribution to the environment around the campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Sc., Dean of FMIPA UNNES<\/strong>, added that this initiative is not only about planting trees, but also educating students and the surrounding community about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. \u201cWe want to instill awareness in the younger generation about the importance of conservation. “By involving them directly in the monitoring process, we hope they can understand how important the role of each individual is in protecting our earth,” said Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNNES hopes that these conservative steps can become a model for other institutions in joint efforts to overcome global warming and environmental damage. With collaboration between universities, companies and the community, it is hoped that a greener and more sustainable environment will be created for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
