On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, professors from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) had the opportunity to be guest lecturers in special lectures at Naruto University of Education, Japan. The invited FMIPA professors for the special lectures were Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., and Arif Widiyatmoko, Ph.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is one of the outcomes of collaborative research between UNNES and Naruto University of Education, Japan, with collaboration partners including Kusaka Satoshi, Ph.D., Head of the International Cooperation Center for Teacher Education and Training [INCET], Naruto University of Education, Japan. In the Special Lectures, each professor presented topics related to their fields. Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., delivered a presentation on STEM Education in Indonesia; A Case Study of Universitas Negeri Semarang, while Arif Widiyatmoko, Ph.D., presented on the Utilization of ICT for Professional Teacher Development in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n

The participants in the special lectures were master’s students in the Global Education program at Naruto University of Education, Japan. The special lectures were conducted in a hybrid mode (offline and online). The students showed great enthusiasm and were critical in participating in the guest lecture, as evidenced by the numerous questions posed to the guest lecturers from FMIPA UNNES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is part of the faculty’s engagement in the three pillars of higher education (tri dharma perguruan tinggi) at foreign campuses, supporting the achievement of UNNES’s Key Performance Index for the year 2023. Prof. Hiroaki Ozawa, Vice President of Naruto University of Education, also attended the special lectures, which concluded with a group photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
